Setting Up Two-Factor Authentication

Two-factor authentication (2FA) is optional. When it is on, signing in needs your password and a 6-digit code from an authenticator app on your phone, such as Google Authenticator, Authy or 1Password. Someone who learns your password still cannot get in without your phone.

Turning It On

1. Go to Settings and open the Account tab
2. Find Two-factor authentication and click Set up
3. Scan the QR code with your authenticator app. If you can't scan it, type the key shown under the code into the app instead
4. Enter the 6-digit code the app shows and click Verify and turn on

If you close the window before entering a code, nothing changes and you can start again.

Signing In With 2FA

1. Sign in with your email and password, or with Google or Discord
2. You will be asked for a code. Open your authenticator app
3. Enter the current 6-digit code and click Verify

If a code is rejected, wait for the next one and try again. Codes depend on the time, so make sure your phone's clock is set automatically.

Payouts

With 2FA on, opening your Stripe payout dashboard, setting up Stripe and withdrawing money only work after you have entered your code at sign-in. If you see a message asking for your two-factor code, sign out, sign back in and enter the code.

Turning It Off

1. Go to Settings, then the Account tab
2. Click Disable next to Two-factor authentication
3. Enter a current code from your authenticator app and click Turn off

Lost Your Phone?

There are no backup codes, so without your authenticator app you cannot finish signing in. Contact support from the email address on your account and we will help you get back in.
